Welcome!

Think in Systems is a blog about systems and why you should care about them.

The name is inspired by the book Thinking in Systems by Donella Meadows. It is one of the best introductions to systems thinking, if not the best, and it completely changed the way I think about the world and approach complex problems.

Our world is governed by an increasingly complex set of interconnected systems, and some of the most important systems in our lives are out of control. That’s why we need systems thinking. Thinking in systems can help us make sense of important systems so we can figure out how to redesign them or, if that’s not possible, build better ones.

This newsletter is my attempt to convince you to think in systems, too, so we can navigate complexity and build a better future together.

Thanks for joining me!

Who does this guy think he is?

My point of view is shaped by years of experience in innovation and corporate strategy and a lot personal curiosity. Over the past few years I spent a lot of time learning about and applying design thinking and systems thinking to complex problems, first as a consultant and now as a strategy & innovation director.

I am not an expert on any of these topics by any means, but I hope you will find them interesting and be inspired to continue your learning journey.

I work and think at the intersection of tech, business, and design. I am fascinated by systems and think we need to do a better job of designing them.
